My name is Ashley and I live in America! I have lived here all my life, but never went out of the states. Hopefully I will someday. Ever since I got in high school I have dealt with low self esteem, anger problems, and lack of confidence. Now I am a Senior, and the first day of school I will said “ Today is a new day!”

Today is a new day therefore
1. I refused to be shackled by yesterday’s failures
2. What I don’t know I would no longer allow it to intimidate me. I will, instead view it as
an opportunity
3. I will not allow other to define my mood, my method, my image or my mission.
4. I will pursue a mission greater than myself by making at least one person happy that they
saw me
5. I will not tolerate self pity gossip of negativism form myself and other because I have
confidence in my self and my sister

I learn that poem in the Burlington mentoring program. This program is helping me in so many ways, and I recommend that you do this program for the good of other and the good of yourself. If any of my sisters are reading this I would like to say thank you for being my sisters and I am sorry for what I have caused.
Trying to built your self esteem, controlling your anger and your confidence is hard. Its like trying to find yourself. Sometimes I feel lost and confused. But when I found god I changed but I fell like something is missing. I am not saying that god is not everything don’t twist my words. I feel like I really need to find myself.
God told me that I am going to find myself when I get out of high school. When I am on my own in life. I am going to find out that “I am more than what I know myself to be.”

I am languishing.

Yes, I am lost in Hope, unable to move forward. Instead of progressing, I am floundering.
How will you find yourself in the labyrinth?
I will find myself through prayer and determination.
Are you sure you want to be found?
No, but it must be done. A stagnant life does not produce beauty. I want to pour beauty across the world.
What will you say to yourself when you find you?
I will say, “Come. I will help you. Leave the labyrinth behind. Bring Hope with you. Let her walk between us.”
Different cultures, especially the Asian culture influences me and changes my personality in many ways. I love the culture. That is why want to learn all of the Asian languages. I am determined to do so. Its one of my first loves! I will love it forever! Right now I am really into the Japanese and the Korean.
If anyone knows how to speak any of the Asian languages please contract me….
