Surprisingly, from what I remember of it, no, it wasn't based on evolution. Unfortunately, seeing as how I have no memory whatsoever where I read this, I don't have solid proof to back any of this up. ^^;

don't they have rules and edicate that prevents things during experimentation such as inducing pain and using morphine? Reminds me of the baby albert experiment where they instilled fear of furry things in a baby by making a loud bang sound whenever a furry animal was shown to the baby.

There are many things that people can't explain. =P If you want to spend your whole life dedicating yourself to answer one huge question/mystery, go ahead. I think life's too short for that, and a little bit of mystery is a good thing!
